Your Privacy Matters: Simple, Straightforward Details for Your Peace of Mind

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains how UnGuise Ltd ("UnGuise", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you:

  • visit our website at www.unguise.com;

  • use our apps, games, or digital experiences, including Axiom Myth (available via www.axiommyth.com and linked app stores);

It also explains your rights under applicable UK data protection law and how to contact us if you have any questions about how we handle personal data.

This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions and our Data Deletion Policy, which are published separately and cover different matters.

This policy has been drafted in line with UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and is intended to support transparency in the collection and use of personal data.

2. How This Policy Applies

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through:

6. Lawful Bases for Processing

Where UK data protection law applies, we process personal data on one or more of the following lawful bases:

  • Consent -- for example, where you choose to receive optional marketing communications, or where consent is required for non-essential cookies.

  • Legitimate interests -- for example, to run, protect, and improve our website, app, and communications, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

  • Contract -- where processing is necessary to take steps at your request or to provide products or services to you.

  • Legal obligation -- where processing is necessary for compliance with applicable law or regulation.

Where we rely on consent as the lawful basis, you can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at hello@unguise.com. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. Cookies and Analytics

Our website and digital experiences may use cookies and similar technologies.

Where cookies are not strictly necessary for the website or app to function, we will seek your consent before activating them, in line with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) guidance on cookies.

If we use Google Analytics or a similar analytics service, this may involve collecting information about how visitors use the website or app, such as pages or screens visited, approximate location, device information, and how users arrived at the site or app. Where non-essential cookies or analytics technologies are used, they will only be activated after valid consent has been obtained through an appropriate cookie notice or consent mechanism.

You can find more information about cookies and how to control them at www.allaboutcookies.org or in the guidance published by the ICO at ico.org.uk.

8. Email Communications

If you provide us with your email address, we may use it to respond to your enquiry or to send you updates or other communications related to UnGuise and our products.

If we send marketing emails, we will do so in accordance with applicable law and, where required, on the basis of your consent or another lawful basis that applies.

You can ask us to stop sending marketing communications at any time by contacting us at hello@unguise.com or by following any unsubscribe link included in a marketing email.

9. App Stores and Third-Party Platforms

App stores

Axiom Myth is made available through third-party app stores, including Google Play and potentially the Apple App Store. Where you download or access Axiom Myth through an app store, that store operator may process personal data about you under its own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for the data practices of app store operators.

Discord

If you join our official UnGuise Discord server, Discord processes personal data about you in connection with your use of the Discord platform under Discord's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, available at discord.com/privacy and discord.com/terms. Any information you provide directly to us within that server, for example through moderation, community management, or direct contact, may also be processed by UnGuise Ltd in line with this Privacy Policy.

Other third-party platforms

We may in future offer products, services, or experiences through additional third-party platforms or payment processors. Where that happens, those providers will process personal data under their own policies and terms. We will update this Privacy Policy to reflect any material changes to our live arrangements before they take effect.

10. Sharing Personal Data

We may share personal data where reasonably necessary with:

  • service providers, including hosting providers, analytics providers, and email service providers, who process data on our behalf and under our instruction;

  • professional advisers, such as lawyers or accountants, where required;

  • regulators, law enforcement bodies, or other authorities, where we are required or permitted to do so by law;

  • other third parties where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of UnGuise, our users, or others.

We do not sell personal data.

Where we share personal data with third-party service providers, we will take reasonable steps to ensure they handle that data securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law.

11. International Transfer

Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we will take appropriate steps to ensure personal data is protected in accordance with applicable UK data protection law, for example by relying on adequacy decisions made by the UK Government or by ensuring appropriate contractual safeguards are in place.

12. Children

Our website and community spaces are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 through those services.

Axiom Myth is intended for users aged 16 and over. Where required by applicable law or platform rules, we take additional steps appropriate to the age range of users, including in compliance with requirements applicable to apps listed on Google Play or other app stores.

If you believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal data to us without appropriate parental or guardian consent, please contact us at hello@unguise.com so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete that information.

13. Data Retention

We will keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as long as required or permitted by law, regulation, tax, accounting, or reporting obligations.

  • analytics information may be retained in line with the settings used by the relevant analytics provider;

  • information associated with an account or registered user may be retained for as long as the account is active or as otherwise required.

If you would like us to delete your personal data, please see our Data Deletion Policy for information on how to make a deletion request.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If you have any concerns about the security of your personal data, please contact us at hello@unguise.com.

15. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data (commonly known as a subject access request);

  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you;

  • request erasure of your personal data in certain circumstances;

  • request restriction of processing of your personal data in certain circumstances;

  • object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances;

  • request a transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format in certain circumstances;

  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@unguise.com. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable data protection law.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your personal data has been handled unlawfully. You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

16. Third-Party Links

Our website, app, and community spaces may contain links to third-party websites or services, including app stores, social media platforms, and partner or affiliated sites.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing them with any personal data.

17. Related Policies

This Privacy Policy sits alongside two separate documents:

  • Terms and Conditions -- which set out the terms on which you may use our website, app, and services.

  • Data Deletion Policy -- which explains how you can request the deletion of personal data we hold about you.

Both documents are published on our website and are available on request.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our website, app, products, community spaces, our data practices, or applicable legal requirements.
